Staff very friendly and helpful, pleasant bar with good food. pleasant shaded courtyard area for when its really hot and a nice pool to cool off in.
A nice place, confortable and good service
The location was great! One block from the beach! Across the street from the boardwalk & an excellent Tiki bar with ocean views. Also, just outside of the craziness of South Beach (who could sleep there?!?), but just by a few blocks. One block from a bus stop with many routes going down to SoBe. And I rented DecoBikes @ 35th & Collins. A 15 minute bike ride down. The hotel was very clean & chill. Not a great place for kids...which was great for me! Went to the pool every day after coming back hot from the beach. Had a dip & a happy hour drink & planned my evening. Standard king room was super charming w the whitest sheets ever! The complaints about the bathrooms are because they kept the great original tubs...large & deep...but need a bit of re-glazing. Not dirty...and I am glad they didn't replace w those new fiberglass baths. Those are hideous. All in all, a great, mellow hotel...exactly as advertised...accurate photos. Beach service was great & water was beautiful! I got into Miami early, and since the room was ready, they checked me In early. I was on the beach by 11:30! They also gave me a later check out & then valeted my bags. That meant I got a whole day on the beach before I flew out that evening. Great customer service.
The only think to complain about was plastic cups for oj In the morning!
Very nice and well designed rooms and common areas. No frills, stylistic design. Great bed. Liked the hotel very much. Parking is available at $19 and close to the hotel. Beach is close, Ocean Drive is half an hour walk (or take the bus for a small fee).
The facilities were excellent, and only one block from the beach, the staff were really helpful and informative. As a solo traveler I was very comfortable there.
Free wifi Friendly staff Safe in room Courtyard area for chilling
The staff were friendly and excellent if you were Spanish speaking. The room was cleaned well and the breakfast was ok. There was a shop next door with a good selection of goods and coffee. It was in a good location for the boardwalk by the beach and for the buses to either Adventura Mall, the airport or downtown Miami and Bayside.
Internet worked out at $40 an hour which in this day and age is totally ridiculous and how many foreign visitors will come with a laptop to use the free wifi in their room... That is the single reason I would not consider coming back. The other negative is the sheer lack of eating places in walking distance or with a view of the sea.
Most of staff are friendly, liked the parquet wooden floor, "Aveda" amenities, close to the beach, free beach chair & next door deli store
*Small rooms *Very very small & uncomfotable shower *Poor breakfast *Small pool
It was clean & quiet.
Our room was rather small but was adequate for a three day stay.
proximity to the beach calm side of Miami beach
a/c much too loud
The room and the bed was big and clean.
Extra charge if you pay with cash. Dirty pool and poor pool bar. Nine o clock in the morning the room service cleaned the room
Very clean and stylish.
teh "Courtyard" was under construction
The location is hard to beat. One street back from a nice, wide, sandy beach and also close to the airport (use the airport bus - only $2.35 each way), which meant I got optimal beach time for my short weekend stay.
It does seem over-priced (I travelled in February when rates are at their highest. The room was fine, but equivalent to a 3* hotel). Miami is just plain expensive during the high season, so just have to suck it up and enjoy the sunshine.
It was very clean and quiet. Very relaxing.
It was a little too far away from ocean and lincoln streets.
Smoking was available, although no ashtrays were in the room
I did not like the fact that we had to carry our big 4 piece luggage up 5 flights of stairs. We were told that there were no elevators and that the cross over was under construction. There were no employees available to help us. It made it very difficult on me since I just had a back procedure the week prior. It was also hot in the room. We turned the ac down to 60 and still didn't need more than a sheet to cover up. That made it for for uncomfortable sleeping conditions. Also, I love ice with my beverages. It made it very inconvenient to have to walk down and back up 5 flights of status just to get ice. There should be one available on every floor. It was even more of a pain since it rained the while time we were there.
